An examination of key buildings and architects of Western Europe, North America, Australia and Japan from late modernism onwards. The Menil Collection by Renzo Piano represents an overview of the architect and movements/approaches from the mid twentieth century to the present. It is examined in terms of key concepts and issues, including: planning, intellectual context, stylistic tendencies, spatial characteristics, materials and response to physical context.
